Now, Chris Salt animated the bricked Series 22 trailer for Top Gear. Part of that trailer is a modified piece of opening credits shwing bits and angles of three Speed Champions sets: recreations of the McLaren P1, Porsche 918 Spyder, and LaFerrari. If you remember, Porsche is game on with the Lap, McLaren will only want to hot-lap the Test Track if they use customer-bought cars for transparency, and Ferrari won't let anyone except themselves provide a prepped version of LaFerrari. It's a conundrum of epic proportions.
What I'm suggesting is that he do what EA does by using the Madden football game to predict the Super Bowl... three times. Well, not necessarily use a game that has all three cars in there as well as the Test Track, as Forza does not have Porsche licenses (hoorah and fuck you at the same time, EA), but he can render some short films. We, good Opponauts as we are, will feed him with facts and other relevant stuff, and then he can use the LEGO models to represent the real ones to just get away with it.
Just.
If it doesn't work, at least Ferrari has cut ties with Mattel, so we can use the HotWheels versions of all three for OUR Hot Lap comparison with a cross-stitch of the track's boundaries. This will be our last option unless Ferrari man up and the test pushes through.
